- How does the face shape test work?
- Your browser finds 468 points on your face and measures three proportions from them: face length against cheekbone width, jaw against cheekbones, and forehead against jaw. Those three numbers decide the shape, and you see them on your result. The measuring happens on your device - the photo is only sent so we can read your hair colour.
- What happens to my photo?
- The measuring never leaves your device. The photo is sent once so we can read your hair colour, and deleted from our storage as soon as the answer comes back. If a scan is cut off before it finishes, the photo is removed within 24 hours at the latest. We keep no copy and no account is created.
- What kind of photo works best?
- A front-facing selfie in daylight with your hair pulled back or off your face. Glasses are fine. Tilted heads, hats and heavy shadows make the shape harder to read.
- Is the result accurate?
- The three measurements are exact, and the same photo always gives the same numbers. Naming a shape from them is a judgement call, so a face between two shapes gets the closest match plus the runner-up, and you can read both guides. A turned head or heavy shadows lower the confidence shown next to your shape.
